Questions from firms.
What does my firm pay?
When your firm runs payroll: $60 a month for each company, including up to 20 employees, then $5 a month for each employee after that. Year-end forms are $5 per W-2 and per 1099-NEC. Logins for your staff are free, and there is no setup fee. With full outsourcing: $24 an hour for the work done, with no monthly subscription.
Can StartEase run payroll for our companies instead?
Yes. With full outsourcing, a dedicated StartEase payroll manager runs every payroll for each company, and the Employer still approves it. It is $24 an hour for the work done each month, with no monthly subscription. Year-end forms are $5 per W-2 and per 1099-NEC. We estimate the hours on a short call.
Can we start one way and switch later?
Yes, company by company. The company’s data stays where it is, and whoever takes over starts from its current setup.
What do I charge the companies I serve?
You decide. StartEase bills your firm, and you set your own fee for each company.
Who approves each payroll?
The Employer at each company. Nothing is final until they approve it. Your firm prepares the payroll and sends it for approval.
Does StartEase pay employees?
No. Each company pays its employees and contractors from its own bank. StartEase works out pay, taxes and forms, and makes tax deposits only when the company names StartEase its authorized agent.
What can my staff see?
Only the companies the firm owner gives them. A Social Security number or contractor tax ID shows as on file with its last 4 digits. Staff can enter a new one, but cannot read the full number back.
Can a company already on StartEase move to my firm?
Yes, when the company agrees to be managed by your firm. StartEase makes the move, and the firm owner gets access straight away.
