StartEasePrivacy Policy
StartEase Agent LLC (“StartEase”, “we”) runs StartEase Payroll, a payroll compliance platform. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Our security page explains how we protect it.

For information about a company’s employees and contractors, the company (the employer) decides what is collected and why. StartEase processes it on the employer’s behalf to run payroll and meet tax and labor-law duties. For our own website, accounts and billing, StartEase decides.
What we collect

We do not store bank account numbers. We never ask for an EFTPS PIN or password.
How we use it
- To calculate pay and taxes, check every payroll against the law, and keep the required records.
- To prepare and record deposits and filings, and to deposit and file as an employer’s authorized agent when the employer has signed IRS Form 8655.
- To send invitations, reminders and security alerts. These emails never contain pay amounts, Social Security numbers or bank details.
- To protect accounts and the platform, and to find and fix problems.
- To meet our own legal duties.
Who we share it with
- Service providers that run the platform for us: Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage, in the United States), Vercel (website hosting), and Google (sending email from hi@starteaseai.com). Embedded videos on the home page come from YouTube, in privacy-enhanced mode (see Your Privacy Choices). Our booking link opens Calendly.
- Government agencies, such as the IRS, the Social Security Administration and state agencies, when we deposit, file or report on an employer’s behalf.
- Authorities and advisers, when the law requires it or to protect legal rights.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
What we never do

- We do not put pay amounts, Social Security numbers or bank details in emails.
- We do not use your payroll data to train advertising or marketing profiles.
Cookies and similar technologies
- This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
- When you sign in to the app, your browser stores your sign-in session. It also remembers the email address you last used, on your device only, so you do not retype it. Clear your browser data to remove them.
- The videos on our home page are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. When they load, YouTube (Google) may receive your network address and set its own cookies.
How long we keep it
Payroll, tax and employment records are kept for as long as the law requires. For example, payroll records are kept for at least 3 years (29 CFR 516.5) and employment tax records for at least 4 years (26 CFR 31.6001-1(e)(2)); Form I-9 is kept for 3 years after hire or 1 year after employment ends, whichever is later (8 CFR 274a.2(b)(2)). Because of these rules, we cannot delete a company that has an approved payroll or a recorded tax filing. Other information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete personal information, and ask us to stop using it in ways you have not agreed to, as the laws that apply to you allow. Details and how to ask are on Your Privacy Choices. Employees can also ask their employer, who controls their payroll information.
Security
We use encryption, role-based access and activity logs. See How we protect your data. No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect a problem, write to hi@starteaseai.com.
Children
StartEase Payroll is for employers and their workers. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children outside an employer’s payroll records.
Changes
If we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date above. For material changes we will also tell account holders by email.
