A notice arrives and nobody answers: support and account problems
A notice has a reply date. Waiting for help is the part that makes a small problem expensive.
What should I do when an agency notice arrives?
Respond by the reply date printed on it, because penalties and interest keep growing while you wait. Send the notice to your StartEase payroll team at hi@starteaseai.com straight away.
The problem
When the IRS or a state sends a notice, it carries a reply date, and penalties and interest keep growing while you wait.
How StartEase manages it
- Send us the notice as soon as it arrives: write to hi@starteaseai.com, or use the WhatsApp icon next to the support number in the portal. Tell us the reply date printed on the notice.
- Your payroll team reads the notice, compares it with the company's record in StartEase (rates, deposits, filings), and tells you what to send back.
- The compliance calendar and the filing history show what was deposited and filed and when, so you can answer from facts.
StartEase does not promise to resolve a notice by a fixed date, because the agency decides that. We do ask you to send it the day it arrives.
What the law says
A notice states the date by which you must respond. Agencies publish how to respond to a notice and what rights you have.
